We have already got the message.Tibet should be free of China...everybody knows that.Using the Olympics to demonstrate is pointless and counter productive.

Crazy. The free tibet movement has becomes such a pecular rag bag of perspectives that it has failed to mean anything. Yes, the chinese should talk to the Dalai Lama, but empty china bashing will get you nowhere. Human Rights campaigning should be about enforcing international law, not extinguishing symbols of sporting achivement. Get your priorites right.

Am i the only one who doesnt understand why alledged humans rights violaion in Tibet is so much more important than myanmar, guantanamo bay, turkey, zimbabwe or indeed another 50-100 countries around the world where theres human rights abuse. Apart from the fact the West sees China as possible nuclear threat like Iran, and its communist which is evil isnt it lke castro and cuba and hugo chavez? Aside from that and the fact its hosting the olympics, I cant think of any other reason.

well one of the protesters made a reference to Tiannamin Square, which is an example of someone who knows nothing about China and still thinks China is stuck in 1989, China has moved on dear maybe you should visit China and see just how modern it is. And another made a reference to Dalai Lama, some kind of peace demi-god idol like Gandhi who must be listened to, when in fact his own people are rejecting his pacifism in favour of violence to achieve their means, peaceful protest achieves nothing.
