The olympics will provide oppurtunities for china to learn about the other cultures in the world, and allow the world to understand more about the chinese culture. This is very improtant as china rises on the world stage and as the world becomes increasingly flat from the forces of globalization. The chinese economy and people will also benefit for a long time from the tourisim such an event will create. It will also be an oppurtunity for china to show its best to the world.

I will always be grateful to China for my lovely daughter. However, I cannot forget her birth mother who was forced to abandon her due to the disgusting human rights issues. When will China stop the masquerade?

Yes, China has the chance to present herself to all over the world, please visit China to see the really happy life in China, do NOT discriminate China or Chinese! If you concern the human rights, please visit CHina to check the reality!

we are all responsible for unacceptable human rights across the globe.... civillians in Iraq/ Afghanistan for example? So let's not deflect blame and imagine that we're not just as culpable. Nevertheless, what an opportunity to raise awareness and coerce at least one government to clean up its act a little. In that sense, should they stop being so defensive and listen to the international community, the games are more than 'good'...
