Poverty is a very important problem that needs dealing with in the UK today. In the worlds 5th largest economy poverty is quite unacceptable. What can a government do to tackle this problem?

This man is a tool of the capitalist class. He has done, and will ever do, as much to make poverty history as drinking water does for rising sea levels. He stands there in front of the Butchers Apron talking as if poverty can be cured by charity and people not getting divorced. Poverty is created by the system that Cameron, like Brown, wishes to perpetuate. As long as a minority of people continue to own the majority of industries that the majority of people depend on to survive then poverty is unavoidable. Make Capitalism History!

I love how everyone thinks politicians are a tool of some higher power... I'm not a fan of politics in general, but I reckon Cameron has it nailed this time around. Lets just hope he doesn't make a hash of it like Blair did.

He is not a tool of some mysterious higher power, he is an unashamed open supporter of capitalism and he actually facilitates the continuation of this system of inherent poverty and exploitation.

Would you agree that admitting you are a Conservative is somehow seen as unfashionable? Wanting to make money and retaining it without being taxed up to the eyeballs is something that we should all strive for. Dont you agree?

I think that Gordon Brown has well and truely bodged his first few months in the hot seat... this man is the only viable alternative.

Strengthen the family to end poverty? Sorry have I missed something, isn't poverty about a lack of money rather than whether you've got both parents living at home?

I admire the conservatives aims, but i just dont see how reducing tax will achieve them - didn't we try that in the 80s? Not fun times.

Gordon Brown messed up big time, I think Labour have just shown how arrogant they are with all that election nonsense. This country needs a change, maybe Conservatives are the way to go.
