Fight the smoking ban to fight Big Brother and the nanny state. Surely it's better to spend our money on fighting real crime...? Visit our website on www.forestonline.org for more details.

Smoking is just plain NASTY! It kills those that do it and those around them. What else is there to debate on this - nothing. BAN SMOKING now.

oh calm down, it's just a cigar. it's not going to jump out of the screen and attack you. why not allow smokers their own areas in which to smoke if they so desire? sounds like a fair plan to me.

Well said Simon. I'm very glad to hear you using such expressive language. Pathetic - it truely is without any reason and so petty. Much bigger priorities exist. I know in practice smokers are law abiding but July is going to be a very big test indeed for one smoker!

ASH may be happy with the smoking ban in all English pubs and clubs, but most people wanted restrictions and not a complete ban. Also, a total ban was not in New Labour's election manifesto.

I agree with every word, Simon. Especially when the last Labour manifesto had certain pubs and private clubs exempt from the smoking ban.
